The half-day training session was attended by CEZA employees and security personnel stationed at Tuguegarao City Office, and provided information to understand fire behavior, fire classifications and combustion process, as well as basic firefighting concepts and techniques, including the operational procedures of handling a fire extinguisher. Interesting topics also included elements of the fire triangle and fire tetrahedron, donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE) and self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), heat transfer stages of fire and the hands on usage of a fire extinguisher. The participants were also exposed to actual handling of fire extinguishers to help them better equipped themselves in case of any insurrection of fire.

CEZA’s efforts to capacitate its employees in the field of fire safety is part of its efforts in Disaster Management, acknowledging that knowledge on fire safety and mitigation measures can help save lives and properties, which are at stake within the premises of the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport and other CEZA Offices. #SaCEZAKabahagiKa #CEZACares
